Rehabilitation & Exercise

Practical Guidance for Everyday Movement.

Individualised movement and exercise guidance may form part of your chiropractic care, where it is appropriate to your needs and within the chiropractor’s scope of practice.

A Plan That Fits Your Starting Point

Your assessment, health, current activity and personal goals guide what is recommended. The focus may be an everyday task, confidence with movement or a gradual return to an activity you enjoy.

Understand Your Movement

We consider what feels difficult, your current capabilities and the activities that matter to you. You do not need to arrive with a fitness routine or exercise experience.

Build A Practical Routine

Depending on your assessment, guidance may include mobility, strength or control exercises, changes to activity levels and ways to pace everyday tasks.

Review & Adapt

We explain how to carry out any recommended exercises, how often to do them and when to seek advice. Your response helps guide any changes or progression.

Exercise Within Chiropractic Care

This guidance is considered as part of chiropractic care when suitable. It is not a separate physiotherapy service or specialist post-operative rehabilitation programme. Where your needs fall outside our expertise, we recommend an appropriately qualified professional.

Our plans for a broader rehabilitation service are separate and remain subject to confirmation. Explore Our Future Services.

Evidence-Informed Care

For low back pain with or without sciatica, NICE recommends considering manual therapy only within a treatment package that includes exercise. The guidance does not mean every person needs hands-on treatment.
