INTEGRA · WHO WE HELP

Children & Teenagers. Heard And Understood.

When discomfort gets in the way of school, sport or simply being themselves, start with a conversation that gives your child a voice.

A Conversation For The Whole Family

School, hobbies and sport form part of a young person’s story. We listen to the child or teenager as well as their parent or carer, asking when symptoms started and what they make difficult. Please contact us before arranging a child consultation to discuss suitability.

An Individual Approach

Assessment and any proposed care are considered in relation to age, health and the concern itself. We explain each step in accessible language, check understanding and obtain appropriate consent. Young people can ask questions, request a pause and say when something feels uncomfortable.

Keeping Expectations Clear

Evidence from adult treatment cannot automatically be applied to children. We do not present chiropractic care as a treatment for childhood developmental conditions or growing pains. If a medical or specialist assessment is more appropriate, we explain this rather than proceeding with unsuitable care.

When A GP Should Be The First Step

A child with joint problems or an unexplained limp needs a GP assessment. Seek emergency care for a limp with inability to bear weight, sudden hip, knee or thigh pain, or fever and feeling unwell. The NHS guidance below explains when to seek help. View child consultation fees
