INTEGRA · WHO WE HELP

Pregnancy. Your Comfort Matters.

When getting comfortable takes more thought, you deserve time to talk. Explore an individual assessment of your aches and movement, alongside your maternity care.

Start With You

Pregnancy can change how everyday tasks feel. Tell us what is uncomfortable, your stage of pregnancy and any advice from your maternity team. We assess whether musculoskeletal care is appropriate for you and discuss options within our scope.

Care Alongside Your Maternity Team

Your midwife and GP remain your first contacts for pregnancy-related concerns. Any care here is considered alongside their advice. We explain proposed examination or treatment, positioning, risks and alternatives before asking for consent. Please contact us first so we can discuss suitability.

What The Evidence Can Tell Us

Evidence for chiropractic treatment of pregnancy-specific conditions is limited. We do not claim to treat morning sickness, change a baby’s position or improve birth outcomes. The NHS offers advice on back pain during pregnancy and notes that your maternity team may refer you to an obstetric physiotherapist.

When To Contact Your Maternity Team

Contact your GP or midwife urgently for back pain in the second or third trimester, or back pain with fever, vaginal bleeding, pain passing urine or pain under the ribs. Call 999 or attend A&E for back pain with loss of feeling in your legs, bottom or genitals. Do not wait for a chiropractic appointment.
